Privacy Policy

This website keeps tracking to the absolute minimum. Anonymous daily statistics derived from the server logs (details below) - and nothing else. No advertising, no cross-site profiling, no personal data stored by us.

All fonts are self-hosted. Visiting this site makes no requests to external servers. The only exceptions are the contact form and YouTube videos after your click (both described below).

Traffic measurement (server logs)

We measure traffic without tracking pixels, without JavaScript and without any third-party analytics service. The basis is the access logs that our hosting provider (All-Inkl, acting as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR) keeps for technical reasons anyway and deletes after seven days. Once a day we condense them into plain daily statistics: number of visits, pages viewed, referring website, entry page, country and city. These permanently stored statistics contain no IP address - they consist of numbers only.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, legitimate interest in traffic measurement without user tracking.

Bot protection on the contact form

The contact form (/kontakt) uses Cloudflare Turnstile to filter automated submissions. Turnstile loads a small JavaScript widget from challenges.cloudflare.com that runs an in-browser challenge. No tracking cookies are set. Cloudflare may process the IP address and anonymous browser-environment metadata for the duration of the challenge; details: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR - legitimate interest in protecting against spam and abuse.

YouTube videos in articles

Some articles show videos from the FlashView channel on YouTube. Until you click, only a preview image from this server is shown - no connection to YouTube is made. Only when you click play does your browser load the video from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). From then on, your IP address and the page you are on, among other things, are transmitted to Google, and Google may use cookies or local storage. On phones, the click opens the video in the YouTube app instead. Legal basis: your consent by clicking, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Privacy policy of Google: policies.google.com/privacy

External links (GitHub, Nextcloud App Store, PayPal, Instagram) are subject to their respective privacy policies.
